About the Author
I started my medical journey about 35 years ago as a US Army combat medic and an EMT. After my military service, I made several career changes including a high school chemistry teacher. I’m now in my 10th year as an RN. I worked in a step-down unit, MICU, TICU, ED, and hospice. Since completing my FNP-C last year, I’ve worked the ED and urgent care.
